Homemade Energy Drink

I admit it – I used to be obsessed with light blue Gatorade. I would buy four large bottles and finish them in two days. However, Gatorade has a lot of sugar and additives (and calories!), so it was not the best thing to put in my body, especially since I wasn't working out like an Olympic athlete.
Here's a recipe to make your very own energy drink at home, without all the added sugar and calories! This drink is packed with electrolytes – the Himalayan salt provides sodium, the orange provides potassium and calcium, and the lemon juice contributes to your overall daily electrolyte intake. You can drink this after a workout or at the start of your day.
Ingredients and calories:
1/2 naval orange (~40)
1/4 cup of lemon juice (~13)
1/2 teaspoon of Himalayan pink salt (0)
2 teaspoons of monk fruit or other natural sweetener (0)
1/2 cup of water (0)
4 ice cubes, crushed (0)
Total calories: ~53
Makes one serving.
Peel a naval orange and place the individual slices in a blender. Then put the lemon juice, salt, sweetener, and water in the blender. My freezer doesn't make crushed ice, so I take four ice cubes, put them in a ziploc bag, and crush them with a meat grinder. Put the ice in the blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
